Genesis 2:16-17
The LORD God gave man this order: "You are free to eat from any of the trees of the garden except the tree of knowledge of good and bad. From that tree you shall not eat; the moment you eat from it you are surely doomed to die."

I had a dream last night. We (on earth) live for the garden of Eden (heaven) and we are free... free to do good and not bad, least we die. We are given so much yet we yearn for more. We want to be god-like. By controlling lives... abortion... by healing the sick by unethical, 'bad' ways, like embryonic stem cell research. We are doomed to die if we continue to eat from this 'tree of knowledge.' We spend so much time worrying about the earths resources, not trusting in God's mercy and love.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Therefore we will not fear though the earth should change, Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble with its tumult. "Be still, and know that I am God. I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth!" The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Psalm 46 1-3, 10-11

Our time would be better spend reading scripture, praying for the unborn, serving God's lowly. Instead we worry needlessly. Kind of like worshiping the god of worry, and fear.

I see FOCA as a large branch on that tree of knowledge. It is a kind of crossroad. I ask myself, would GOD be for FOCA? Would he be for abortion? That branch surely leads to bad, hell.

Then there are the godless, those who have chosen to be their own god. It is a choice, because we are born with an innate love of God. The passage escapes me at the moment but maybe someone can post it.

It seems strange to me that someone would choose atheism... I mean just being practical and saying "what if" ... what if there really is a God, and I have deliberately 'chosen' to ignore Him. Such a risk to take, when so much to the contrary exists. Do these atheists chose this because they are lazy, egotistical, ignorant? It would be more difficult to prove that there was no God than the other. Have you seen EXPELLED: No Intelligence Allowed?

For me I'll stay away from the serpent, I will arm myself with weapons, and protection like God's Holy Word, my Rosary, and prayer without ceasing. I will follow His commands and I will not be so arrogant as to put myself before God. I will not abandon His church or go church shopping to suit myself, but instead I will Thank God, and obey the Church he has given me. I will not follow man and imagine that man could improve on the Rock that Christ built this church on.
